Tips for montage

Picture
Draw a line on the applicable surface indicating the desired position of the coving
The XPS product is easy for cutting by knife or by saw using a mitre box, manual or electric mitre saw

Apply adhesives evenly to the back of the coving
Use any solvent-free adhesives for multipurpose jobs
For best results apply adhesive to the joining parts. Any gaps can be filled with acrylic caulk or filler
Our XPS material is suitable for sanding with high grit (+120 grit) sandpaper if needed

Product can be painted before or after montage using any emulsion, water-based paint
The number of coats to be applied are left to customers discretion
LED stripes can be montaged:
  • Directly to the back of the coving. We recommend painting the coving (outside and inside except the part that attaches to the wall) by two coats of emulsion, water-based paint before montage on the wall or ceiling. When the product is montaged, fill all gaps with acrylic caulk or filler. At this point we recommend applying the last coats of paint.

  • On aluminium/non-transparent tape (applied to the non-visible side of the coving that will have LED installed). You can use any aluminium tape available in any DIY store like Screwfix or B&Q. It is easier to stick the aluminium tape on the surface that is already painted.

  • Inside aluminium, metal or plastic channel.
